Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab created diamonds have garnered immense popularity over the past few years and it will continue to gain even more popularity in the coming years. Millennials are going ga-ga over the lab grown diamonds because of the many benefits they offer. But are all lab-grown diamonds created equally? The answer is no. According to lab grown diamond companies, there are a number of ways to create man made diamonds.

Two processes which are known as HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Distillation) are mostly used for the production of lab created diamonds. HPHT, as the name suggests is pretty close to how natural diamonds get formed. Crystallizing carbon has to undergo extreme heat and pressure. CVD on the other hand is considered superior to HPHT. It is more eco-friendly as compared to HPHT as it requires less amount of energy. It is more cost-effective as well because of which it has an edge over the HPHT process, say lab created diamond manufacturers in USA. It requires less temperature and pressure. Also, the equipment used in the CVD process are relatively cheaper.

There are differences in quality, price and availability of lab created diamonds. However, they are extremely popular and certainly have an edge over natural diamonds. Colored as well as colorless diamonds are available in the market as they are as good as natural diamonds. It is recommended to go for certified diamonds and to buy them from reputed lab grown diamond companies.
